Renault UK Clio Cup is Britain's premier feeder series for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and has been part of the national motorsport landscape since 1991, when it replaced the Renault 5 series which first appeared in the UK in 1974.
The current Renault UK Clio Cup Championship features the 1.6-litre turbo-powered fourth generation thoroughbred racing Clio which is based on the road-going Clio Renaultsport 200 Turbo EDC. Bringing the championship ever closer to BTCC levels of performance, lap records have tumbled as the next generation of touring car drivers learn their craft.
Renault UK Clio Cup is organised by the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) with Dunlop as the official tyre supplier and Renault UK taking care of all administrative matters.
